Façade Analysis & Optimisation
To inform the performance, design and upgrade of façades (glass area, glass type, shading, insulation, etc.), we will undertake thermal, shading and daylight modelling. This will be combined with options testing the energy modelling to determine the most appropriate façade solution that also meets cost, constructability and aesthetic requirements. Alongside this we will also investigate the often conflicting requirements of Part L (Energy), Part O (Overheating), Part F (Ventilation), daylight targets and comfort.
We design façades both from the inside out (plant section, energy, comfort, daylight, views, glare) and from the outside in (climate, heritage, aesthetics, cost).

Furthermore, we approach façade design from a passive and active approach, adopting where possible 'Bio mimicry and Bioclimatic' façade design/materials/integration.
