Scope
Seneca were the ESD consultants for the new build development at a site in Glen Iris, informing the sustainable design for the project as well as producing a Sustainable Management Plan.
The development comprises 12 apartments nestled in Glen Iris, with generously sized ground floor residences boasted sun-filled courtyards.
​Being within the City of Stonnington required the use of the Sustainable Design Assessment in the Planning Process (SDAPP) framework, as developed by Municipal Authorities Victoria (MAV).
The sustainable design optimised daylight/shading/natural ventilation, ensured efficiency measures were incorporated, including solar thermal systems, and achieved ESD benchmark targets of 6 Star NatHERS average for all apartments.
