Scope
Seneca were appointed by Southern Grove to provide MEP Design Consultancy Services. ​The project provides 91 residential apartments (16 flats per typical floor) in a 7 storey building.​
Seneca provided RIBA Stage 2 Planning Stage design services for mechanical and public health building services installations associated with the Whiteleaf Road project.
The MEP services strategy is based on an energy efficient central community ASHP system.
The apartments are designed to provide a comfortable internal environment that residents can easily control, by means of a communal heat pump system that serves a heat interface unit within each apartment, providing heating and hot water.
Each apartment also has a low energy integral MVHR ventilation system that recovers energy from the outgoing air stream and heats the incoming air. This provides a fresh habitat that consumes very little energy.
